Can social media be our office inbox?

Mint published as article : Will your work mail morph into a social network platform in the next coming years.?

It was great to know of the companies are looking to make social network as a next generation communication platform. Some of the companies are working on some internal tools to make it simpler and even Microsoft is developing an email package with social media integrated in to it.

I thought for a some time and made me wonder is it really worth to go for social media for corporate comunication? so thought of checking it out with my opinionated twitter group.

After the discussion it look like social media will be a good tool for some industrys, to be effective use of the social media we need to have a new social media tool with can control the conversation in the greater level within the organization.
